Introduction

B.S. In 2040, according to the spirit and purpose of decentralization, 5 Regional Forest Directorates and District Forest Offices in all 75 districts were established in Jumla district. B.S. In 2050, in accordance with the reorganization of the Forest Department, an organization was created in Jumla district under the leadership of District Forest Officer of the third category, with 8 range posts. The report of the "Democratization, Good Governance and Sustainable Development of the Forest Sector", instructions given to the former Ministry of Forestry and Land Conservation on various issues received from the Legislature-Parliament's Natural Resources and Resources Committee, the high-level commission formed under the direction of the Natural Resources Resources Committee, 2067 including Realizing the need for organizational and managerial restructuring of the forest administration for the correction of problems and weaknesses, according to Section 24 D 1 of the Second Amendment Ordinance 2069 of the Civil Service Act 2047, the employees who have been promoted have been adjusted and posted. Effective from 2070/71, the central organization of the Forest Department and the organization structure of the subordinate district forest offices were changed and the organizational structure of the district forest offices was changed to be effective from 28/4/2070. By transforming into forest office, a new organizational form was started by creating the posts of Assistant Forest Officers of the R.P.T. category in the said offices.




Purpose

  • 1. Effective implementation of N, rules and policies related to the protection, development and utilization of the entire forest area under the Division Forest Office.

2. Formulating and implementing divisional level plans related to forest development.

3. To give necessary technical advice to the stakeholders for the development and management of private forests and agricultural forests.

4. Providing information related to forest heritage for the general public.

5. According to prevailing policies and laws, sustainable management of forests under the scope of the Division Forest Office through community-based forest management system.

6. To increase the production and productivity of wood and non-timber forest products by promoting plantation and cultivation expansion.

7. Coordinating and supporting biodiversity and environmental protection

8. To support local, regional and national economic development by supplying forest products through the protection, development and utilization of forests.

9. Conducting forest development and management activities in coordination with district/division level governmental and non-governmental organizations, local bodies and other concerned bodies.

10. Providing employment opportunities through forest conservation, development and utilization

11. Maintaining the good governance of the forest area
